Kirby's sore right knee appears to be feeling better. The Mariners' 26-year-old is 3-2 with a 3.76 ERA in seven starts this season. He has walked four batters and struck out 41 in 38 1/3 innings. In two career starts against the Twins, Kirby is 1-0 with a 4.09 ERA. He has walked one batter and struck out 19 in 11 innings. The Twins are looking to bounce back from a 10-6 loss on Tuesday night. Minnesota right-hander Chris Paddack (3-1, 4.78) is scheduled to take the mound for his seventh start of the season. He has won each of his past three decisions. Paddack delivered a sterling performance with six scoreless innings against the Boston Red Sox. He limited the Red Sox to two hits and one walk, and he struck out six. Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals went exactly as the Knicks and Pacers expected as Indiana didn't benefit from last-minute officiating calls. The Pacers acknowledged they were displeased with the officiating down the stretch but also lamented their inability to close out the Knicks. New York shot 65.0 percent from the field (26 of 40) from the field in the second half, including 63.6 percent (7 of 11) from 3-point range. Crew chief Zach Zarba said following the game that the kicked ball call on Nesmith was incorrect. Replays showed Brunson's pass glanced off Nesmith's hand and toward Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard. He appeared from September 1987 -December 2006 on USA’s Proline. As one of the foremost experts in sports, Chip has been quoted in many national publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA TODAY, SI's Sports Weekly and countless others. Chip has appeared as an expert analyst on Yahoo's "Ahead of the Game", the Nation's only live streaming interactive sports show on the web! Chip is known as the "Big Play Handicapper", earning that name by his ability to consistently win his biggest plays! Chip is a New York University graduate with a Masters Degree was educated at the University of Kyoto in Japan, Uppsala University in Sweden and Copenhagen University in Denmark. A high school teacher, he was a head Baseball and assistant football coach as well as a certified NCAA Basketball official.
